ENVIRONMENTAL OUTLOOK
When it comes to nature we believe in humility and stewardship. We were granted the privilege to enjoy what nature has to offer with the mind that we are to accept it with modesty, gratitude, and caution. We believe that it is critical for Pure Fiber to work toward a cleaner and greener future and as a company we have a tremendous responsibility toward sustainability in everything we do. So our idea is simple, create a great product that serves not as an alternative but as a way to sustainability.
“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us.
When we see land as a community to which we belong,
we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
-Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac
COMMUNITY
At Pure Fiber we believe a business has the ability for positive change. An integral part of our commitment is partnerships through philanthropy, industry, and business, including our customers and suppliers. We appreciate the meaningful relationships we’ve wwweloped and look forward to continuing to work together toward a society in harmony with the environment. We support various environmental and social work programs that educate and mobilize people to reduce their environmental footprint.
THE PROCESS
Our commitment to the environment is a way of life, extending across all of our operations and through the full life cycle of our products. Through our steps, we wwwelop and manage products through their “life-cycle assessment” footprint so that we deliver the right product the right way. We have made good progress along the way, but recognize that there’s much more yet to be done. We feel a collective urgency to make strides toward a more ecologically responsible future as a company.
While Pure Fiber focuses on creating quality products, we also strive to bypass the harmful effects of conventional manufacturing. Our goal is to continuously learn, improve, and exemplify environmentally ethical and good manufacturing.
GOOD MANUFACTURING
Along with our partners, we’re working toward a cleaner future with a wide range of innovative textile and leaner manufacturing. All of Pure Fiber’s bamboo products have received Oekotex certification. This certification screens for any and all harmful substances present in textiles. This guarantees the safety of our fabric and dyes and is an additional assurance that we are following environmental sounding standards.
