About Us
RICK is a product designer from San Francisco. While
studying at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Rick
found his passion in innovating life style products. His
focuses were to take simple and practical items and
improve them to be more functionally elegant and
beneficial for user and the environment. Consequently,
when Rick discovered the many benefits of bamboo as a
fiber, he embraced the opportunity to use his design and
product development expertise to create better quality
and higher durability bamboo towels.
NINA has a passion for growing small and local
businesses. She began her career as a marketing and
business consultant in the Integrative Medicine industry
for six years. Though Nina is still active within that
industry, her passion lies in creating her own business
where she can bring to life her values for quality and
her goals to benefit the community. As a member of the
Integrative Medicine field, she worked with many
holistic practitioners, naturopaths, and acupuncturists.
A common opinion these practitioners share is that a
chief ailment facing Americans today is allergy.
According to the Medical College of Wisconsin, “Allergic
diseases are major causes of illness and disability in
the US, afflicting more than 35 million people with
upper respiratory symptoms.” Nina’s family members are
part of the 35 million people who suffer from severe
allergy problems. When Nina found out about the
hypoallergenic effects of bamboo and the 1/3 lbs. of
pesticide she can avoid by using bamboo rather than
cotton, she knew she found something valuable that
consumers would like to know and use in their home.
Our Belief
When it comes to nature we believe in humility. We appreciate and respect our trees and soils.
We believe that there is nothing wrong with utilizing what nature provides, but with modesty.
We believe that it is crucial for everyone to work toward a greener future, but as a company
we have a greater responsibility toward sustainability. We are just like you, we need, appreciate
and enjoy the splendor of forest, the depth of sea, and thus, we work hard to sustain the luxuries of nature.
So our idea was simple, finding a product that serve not as an alternative but a way to sustainability.
